Ryan Winter has always had a keen fascination with horror and true crime. Growing up in mysterious and haunting New Orleans enabled him to intake volumes of folklore, personalities and morbid histories, feeding him the inspiration for his writing. His latest work, Wake the Devil, is about the infamous Axeman murders of 1918 that plagued the city during WWI. The case remains unsolved to this day.
